Well it started a few years back. Most of the team were with Napier City Rovers (NCR), for a while there things were going good, but then well they didn't seem to work out for the team. We were struggling to find players, find gear & a kit to play in most time.

Most of games for NCR were placed as friendly games due to lack of kit, players & equipment & in the end we were told that every match card we sent in with 'friendly' on it the club got fined $200 each, so in the end they were find quiet a bit.

One day, I can't quiet remember which, while the boys were still playing for NCR they played the Masters from Eskview & the club manager (Viv) was talking to our team manager (Pat) & he mentioned if we wanted to switch clubs then Eskview would happily take them on, so after serious consideration most of the boy's agreed to switch.

So after a while of settling in, the team had the correct amount of players, equiptment, & a kit so things were looking up. After the 1st season for Eskview had finished the team got new gear, & a new kit & they had a full team that managed to show up each & every weekend, & if our own team players couldn't turn up then the Masters or the Reds were more than happy to help.

That was one of the great thing about going out to the home grounds on the weekend. Watching the whole club, come together to support one another in their games. There were the rugby boys, the soccer boys, the womans netball, & the womans soccer team that all came together to support one another, & to make the atmospher out there a whole lot better.

Now thru all of this I was what you'd call a spectator who loved to get involved in the club, to watch the game it didn't matter who was playing, & really I wanted to get more involved in the sport. But in the end I'm the crazy person behind this computer making this site so people can really see someone elses point of vew on the club, game & atmospher, & also I'm here for a few other reasons than that, I'm here to put up all the photos & to prove how much fun it is to really be involved with the Eskview Sports club back in Napier.

This site has been a year or so in the making, & its not because I'm slack, it's because people have been meaning to take other photos but it hasn't happened, so for now you'll have to mak do with this sorry.

So now I will leave it as that I hope you look around the site, & if you don't believe me about the Eskview Sports club then feel free to go down there & see it for yourselves.
